New additions to our happy home

So with the addition of our wonderful bundle of joy on May 21st I seem to have lost my mind! My first child, lil P, was such an angel. He was content to play on his activity mat or lay in his swing and doze off on his own whims. And then stayed asleep for very long stretches right from the get go. My baby girl is by definition a normal child...no matter what my husband thinks. She needs to be rocked to sleep and then gently placed in her bassinet ON HER BELLY, and heaven forbid if her sheets are cold. Yes I said I have a tummy sleeper. Your probably cursing me out as a candidate for worst mother of the year as you read this. Thinking to yourself, Has she read all the facts? Did she consult her doctor? YES and YES. It was an agonizing week of trying to decide do I give in and let her sleep on her tummy or do we fight her and make her sleep on her back? Three weeks later I am a happy mommy with a baby who is sleeping four hours at a time and picking her head up and looking side to side like a 2 month old (she is 6 weeks). Okay but back to loosing my mind here. With a fussy, I mean normal, child and a healthy rambunctious 2.5 year old you think I'd have my hands full enough. Nope not me I get a facebook message from a friend asking if we are interested in a 5 month old pug? Sure we are, just what I need! So two days later tiny K and I load up into the big ol" diesel truck and off we go for a 2.5 hr drive to go pick up a puppy! Mind you tiny K is eating every two hours, so of course she pokes along in her feeding before we are suppose to leave and we get our start an hour late! Then she wakes up when I stop at a drive Thu for some iced coffee and wants to eat again! Thank god I have the ladies cell number..feeling bad I offer to drive another half hour down the road so I can stop and do a wee bit of shopping at the Carter's outlet! Yes I felt that bad for being late...note the thick sarcasm there. Tiny K and I eventually make it home with our new family member who is still to be named 3 weeks later. I have a feeling the poor pup is going to be Puppers forever. All I could think is why? why do i do these things to myself. My hubby is back to work full time and now I have a puppy who the owners failed to mention they never potty trained but taught her to sit and fetch. So I decide we all should head out to the yard Lil P can play in the sprinkler and the dogs can get to know each other. Tiny K heads for a nap after 30 min of rocking and I am free to take pictures of my new puppy fetching buckets! I think I'm in for it with these ones.
